NORYL NP6100 Resin is a non-reinforced blend of polyphenylene ether (PPE) and high impact polystyrene (HIPS), manufactured by SABIC. This injection moldable and extrudable grade is designed for high heat resistance with good strength, toughness and robust FR performance. It contains non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame retardant and carries a UL94 flame rating of V-1 at 1.5mm.

NORYL NP6100 offers a unique balance of mechanical properties and flame resistance. It is developed to address stringent requirements for low smoke density and low smoke corrosion, with a smoke density of 47 at DS-max (25 kW/m², 1.5mm) per ISO 5659-2. The grade carries an EN45545 R22 HL3 certificate (European railway standard for small electrical parts), and passes the Ball Pressure Test (BPT) at 125°C and GWFI 960°C at 1mm.

This grade is an excellent candidate for mining pipe applications as well as low smoke cable channel applications. This product does not contain PFAS intentionally added during the manufacturing process.
