PLEXIMID TT50 is a highly heat distortion-resistant poly(n-methyl methacrylamide) (PMMI) molding compound designed for demanding optical applications requiring exceptional thermal stability. PLEXIMID TT50 combines the familiar properties of PLEXIMID molding compounds — high heat deflection temperature, excellent transmission and clarity, very high strength and rigidity, and good weather resistance — with AMECA listing for automotive applications. It is processable on injection molding machines with PMMA-suited 3-zone general purpose screws at melt temperature 250-280°C and mold temperature approximately 110°C.
