Micromax 4195 Glass Encapsulant, Silver Migration Barrier
Type: Glass Encapsulant
Application: Silver Migration Barrier
Color: Blue Fired Film
Firing: 850°C / 30-60 min
Shelf Life: 6 months
MacDermid Alpha Micromax 4195 is a high-temperature glass encapsulant designed to form an insulating and protective layer over thick film circuits, providing anti-silver-migration protection for silver-bearing conductors. Featuring 850°C firing (30 or 60 min profiles) and blue fired film per TDS specifications.
Micromax 4195 is a high-temperature glass encapsulant composition designed to form an insulating and protective layer over thick film circuits, especially over thick film silver-bearing conductors. This encapsulant provides essential protection against silver migration between adjacent conductor lines, environmental conditions, mechanical abrasion, reactive chemicals, and potting compounds. The composition fires at 850°C peak, producing a distinctive blue fired film.
The paste is optimized for 200-250 mesh stainless steel screens with 10-12 μm emulsion thickness and print speeds of 2.5-10 cm/s. Drying is performed at 150°C for 10-15 minutes after 5-10 minutes leveling. Firing at 850°C peak uses either 30-minute or 60-minute profiles. The encapsulant is compatible with Micromax 7484R and 6160 silver-bearing conductors. Available in standard packaging with 6-month shelf life per TDS specifications.
