Processing Guidelines

Escor 5200 can deliver good results when processed in the temperature range of 200–250°C. Processing temperatures above 300°C may cause resin degradation.

To help minimize corrosion risk, exposed metal surfaces in the extruder and die should be made from corrosion-resistant metals or nickel-chrome plated. Before introducing Escor resin, it is recommended to run LDPE with a similar or higher melt index through the extruder.

Before shutdown, the machine should always be purged with LDPE or a suitable cleaning compound.
