MacDermid Alpha Micromax 5018G is a green UV curable, solvent-less, screen printable dielectric for encapsulant and crossover applications. Offering best insulation, 100% solids, and excellent crosshatch adhesion to PET and conductors per TDS specifications.
Micromax 5018G is a green UV curable, solvent-less, screen printable dielectric composition designed for encapsulant and crossover applications in both rigid and flexible circuit manufacture. The material delivers rapid cure and excellent processing latitude while maintaining outstanding electrical and physical properties after cure, including excellent crosshatch adhesion to print-treated PET and good adhesion to non-print-treated PET substrates and conductors. It is fully compatible with Micromax 5000 Series conductor compositions and is positioned as the best insulating UV cure dielectric per TDS specifications.
With 100% solid content and a density of 1.28 g/cm³, Micromax 5018G is a zero-VOC material when properly cured. The dielectric is green and requires two prints to achieve maximum circuit reliability. Curing is performed at 40 ft/min in air using a 200 W/in medium-pressure mercury vapor lamp with a UV dose of 500-1500 mJ/cm². The cured film delivers pencil hardness ≥1H, no material transfer in crosshatch adhesion tests, and excellent flexibility with no opens under a 180° crease over Micromax 5007. Available in standard packaging with 6-month shelf life per TDS specifications.
