ULTEM Resin PW2400 is a 40% glass fiber reinforced, standard flow polyetherimide (PEI) resin manufactured by SABIC. It represents the highest reinforcement level within the potable water PEI portfolio, featuring 40% glass fiber content for maximum strength and rigidity.

This inherently flame retardant resin is KTW, WRAS, ACS, NSF-61 and W270 certified for potable water applications and is US FDA and European Food Contact approved. The 40% glass fiber reinforcement provides exceptional stiffness, strength, and dimensional stability with ultra-low shrinkage (0.10-0.30%).

With a glass transition temperature of 217°C, PW2400 delivers excellent dimensional stability, high strength and stiffness, and good chemical resistance across a broad temperature range. The material is opaque and available in custom colors. ISCC+ certified renewable bio-based solutions are also available for this grade.
