CYROLITE G-20 is a medical grade PMMA-based impact modified copolymer designed for injection molding and extrusion of medical device components. Offering 5 times the impact resistance of unmodified acrylics, this material combines excellent optical clarity (89% light transmission) with exceptional durability. It meets rigorous biocompatibility requirements including United States Pharmacopeia Class VI and ISO 10993-1, making it suitable for a wide range of medical and healthcare applications.

CYROLITE G-20 offers excellent resistance to body fluids and many chemicals, with outstanding bonding to PVC tubing and compatibility with thermal bonding, ultrasonic welding, and laser welding. It is resistant to EtO, gamma, and E-beam sterilization methods. With a Vicat softening point of 101°C and good heat resistance, this material is processable on standard injection molding and extrusion equipment with 3‑zone general purpose screws. Typical applications include respiratory device components, blood filter housings, IV components, and other medical device and diagnostics applications requiring clarity, impact resistance, and biocompatibility.
