Hostaform C 13021 RM POM is a high-performance polyoxymethylene copolymer resin developed by Celanese for precision injection molded parts requiring smooth sliding performance, excellent mechanical strength and long-term durability. This grade is based on the Hostaform C 13021 platform and has been modified to improve tribological properties, making it suitable for components where reduced friction, low wear and smooth movement are required.

POM materials are widely used in mechanical engineering because of their excellent combination of stiffness, hardness, fatigue resistance and dimensional stability. Hostaform C 13021 RM maintains the typical advantages of POM copolymer, including excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, hydrolysis resistance and resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation.

The main advantage of Hostaform C 13021 RM is its improved sliding behavior. The material is designed for sliding combinations such as Hostaform-to-Hostaform or Hostaform-to-other engineering plastics, helping reduce friction and improve operating smoothness in moving assemblies. It is especially suitable for components that require repeated movement and long service life.

The grade provides excellent mechanical performance with a tensile modulus of approximately 2900 MPa and tensile strength around 65 MPa. These properties allow molded components to maintain structural integrity under continuous mechanical loading.

Hostaform C 13021 RM also provides good resistance to solvents, fuels, strong alkalis and industrial chemicals. The material maintains stable dimensions in humid environments due to its low water absorption characteristics, making it suitable for precision components requiring tight tolerances.

With an MVR of approximately 12.5 cm³/10 min (190°C/2.16 kg), Hostaform C 13021 RM offers good injection molding performance for complex geometries and precision parts. The material can be processed using conventional injection molding equipment.
