Typical Extrusion Conditions
PRIMACOR 1321 can be processed under typical blown film extrusion conditions. Reference processing conditions include a screw size of 2.5 inches, 30:1 L/D, single flight screw with Maddock mixer, die gap of 40 mil, die diameter of 6 inches and melt temperature around 380°F or 193°C.
Typical output is 6 lb/hr/in. of die circumference, equivalent to 1.07 kg/hr/cm of die circumference. Reference blow-up ratio is 2.5:1, and frost line height is 29 inches, or 737 mm.
For better processing stability, equipment used for this resin should be constructed with corrosion-resistant materials. Dies and adapters are recommended to be stainless steel, duplex chrome plated or nickel plated.
