Santoprene 101-80 is a black, versatile thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) from Celanese designed for general-purpose extrusion and molding applications that require a relatively firm elastomeric response together with high elongation and durable rubber-like performance.

Celanese places the grade in its core Santoprene 101 general-purpose series. The official Santoprene product finder describes this family as suitable for extrusion and molding while offering the highest level of elastomeric properties within the general-purpose grade group.

The current Shore A hardness of Santoprene 101-80 is approximately 87, even though the grade designation contains “80.” The grade name should therefore not be interpreted as the current ISO Shore A value.
